A Quiet Echo

Perhaps it’s the phonetics, perhaps it’s the zeitgeist: When my “Chair Peace” at the “Chair-out” (Vienna, 2026) nestles almost naturally against the legendary “Hair Peace, Bed Peace” of the 1969 “Bed-In,” it is far more than just a linguistic coincidence.
Since I began my “Schlepping and Chairing” actions in 2017, my work has been about these moments of presence. About empowering, lifting wings, and raising consciousness. The fact that now—on this very 19th of March—a bridge is built to John Lennon’s “Imagine” (released 1971) and the vision of peaceful protest, adds an extra, silent layer to the performance. An ad-hoc statement, carried on the iconic silhouette of an Arne Jacobsen 3107 (built in 1972, thanks to Wolfgang Roth for the authentication!). I was born in 1973, by the way—and as they say, all good things come in threes, fours, fives, sixes, sevens… ;)
All a coincidence? Perhaps. Or simply the right vibration at the right time.
